About Keratosis Pilaris at Jeff Alexander M.D. Dermatology
Keratosis Pilaris is a condition that causes the skin to be covered in tiny red bumps that are sometimes mistaken for small blemishes. The bumps are small masses of dead skin cells and most commonly appear on the upper and the front of the thighs. Although this condition is harmless, the bumps can become dry and itchy. Dr. Jeff Alexander’s Dermatology Clinic offers special moisturizer to relieve the itch and dryness. To reduce the appearance of the bumps and produce smoother skin, we recommend an exfoliating treatment at Skin Care Institute to gently remove the dead skin cells.
