About Granuloma Annulare at Jeff Alexander M.D. Dermatology
Granuloma Annulare is a chronic skin condition in which reddish bumps appear onthe skin arranged in a circle or ring. The bumps often appear on a patient’s hands, forearms or feet. It most often affects teenagers and young adults and is slightly more common among females. Granuloma Annulare is a benign disease, with the red bumps being the only symptom, so treatment is necessary for cosmetic reasons only. Please see your doctor as soon as you notice the bumps as they could also be a symptom of a fungal infection. Dr. Alexander and Skin Care Institute offer multiple treatment options for fast and safe alleviation.
