Perioral dermatitus is a facial rash that tends to appear around the mouth and nose. The rash consists of redness with a slight scaly or bumpy texture. Perioral dermatitus is most common among young women and can cause some slight discomfort in the form of mild itching or burning sensations. Dr. Alexander will diagnose your skin based on appearance and prescribe a treatment that will safely and effectively clear up your face. In most cases, no other testing will be necessary.
